Active and passive voice are two different ways of constructing sentences, and they convey information in distinct ways. Simple Present Indefinite Tense-Active Voice: In active voice, the subject performs the action expressed by the verb. It is the more common and straightforward way of expressing actions. Example: "John writes a letter."
In the active example of simple present tense, the company ships the computers. Here, the company is doing the action. In the passive example of simple present tense, computers are foregrounded instead of the company. In this case, it doesn't matter who sent the computers.

Present Time • Simple Present Use the simple present tense to make a generalization, to present a state of being, or to indicate a habitual or repeated action. To change a sentence in the passive voice to active voice, one must know the tense of the verb. Once students understand the tense of the verb, it becomes easy for them to convert. First, we interchange the subject and object of the sentence and remove the 'by' from the sentence.
The Present Simple Active is formed like this: [subject] + base form of the verb (in third person singular, we add '-s' to the verb) To make statements with the Present Simple Passive, use: am/is/are + the Past Participle form of the verb Note: We use 'am' for first person singular (I), 'is' for third person singular and 'are' for second singular and plural nouns and pronouns.

A. Introduction. In an active sentence, the subject is the doer of the verb (= does the action) and the object is the recipient of the verb (= receives the action). In a passive sentence, the subject and object switch places. The recipient of the action is now the main focus of the sentence. This is called the passive voice.
In the simple present tense we make the passive verb form by putting is, am or are before the past participle form of the verb. Examples are given below. She writes stories. (Active voice) Stories are written by her. (Passive voice) Here we made the passive form by putting are before the past participle form of the active verb (write).
